Being the leading scooter business in NZ is challenging and rewarding, and you get a lot of fulfillment from being part of this productive and dynamic team. Level 3 at Scootling

25 November 2021

Current protocol for retail: Front of shop is open and we're doing online sales plus click and collect too. Workshop jobs can be scheduled in.

  • Please wear a mask in order to visit us
  • Please scan in using the QR code

We're committed to doing our part to help NZ reduce the drastic impact of Covid-19 on our country. We implemented a new specific policy for Covid-19 response on 16 March 2020, and we continue to observe the mandated restrictions.
Specific ways we're keeping you safe:

  • All staff are double vaccinated and have had Covid tests
  • We have a HVAC system at every workstation running through a dual-layer filter including activated carbon
  • High ventilation from fresh air fan running on a schedule plus doors open to each area of the premises

Since the government announcement regarding Auckland moving to Level 3, our business can operate although we can't physically interact with you - the major changes are resuming contactless (or online) sales, contactless handover of bikes for sales or workshop and with us sanitising high-touch points.

Our supply chain may experience a few slowdowns, but we can still provide parts and services in a contactless environment.
The online components of our business are running as normal, that is: parts sales, hire bookings for e.g. delivery drivers and essential workers, and insurance cover. Our MBIE registration number for essential goods supply is MBIEEB-2999. As workshop services are available but need a difference procedure for handover, please email us first, with as much notice as you can.
Apart from the special period mentioned above, Level 3 means dealership operation for normal hours and us implementing conditions like contactless payment, physical distancing, appropriate PPE, and sanitisation of high touch surfaces at our premises. Thanks again for your support and your business and let's work towards a return to normalcy.

Level 4 at Scootling

18 August 2021

Per the government's snap announcement regarding the Delta variant of Covid-19 in Auckland, and subsequently the city moving to Level 4 for 7 days initially, we are operating from home and limited Essential Services.
We are staying in our bubbles, either running Essential Services with no public access, or working from home. Phone response will be lower than normal. Please email or use the contact forms on this website. Stay safe and we hope to see you back for normal trading soon.

Level 2 at Scootling

26 May 2020

We're committed to doing our part to help NZ reduce the drastic impact of Covid-19 on our country. We implemented a new specific policy for Covid-19 response on 16 March, and the retail shop closed accordingly in Level 4. We are open again, and we're welcoming everyone back to our busy workshop and retail showroom for new and used scooters and motorcycle/moped helmets and clothing. The online components of our business ran throughout, that is: essential parts sales, hire bookings for after Level 4, and insurance cover. We offer contactless payment, maintain physical distancing, use appropriate PPE, and we sanitise of high touch surfaces at our premises and on your keys/bike.

COVID-19 update - limited workshop facilities

23 March 2020

We're committed to doing our part to help NZ reduce the drastic impact of Covid-19 on our country. We implemented a new specific policy for Covid-19 response on 16 March, and will now be closing the retail shop following the Government's level change announced today. Per the government's communication on https://covid19.govt.nz/government-actions/covid-19-alert-level/#essential-businesses and the requirements of our clients engaged in essential services, our workshop may be available to those clients needing mechanical work to keep running. We can still assist with online components of our business including insurance cover. From the above page: "Any entity providing services to keep vehicles operational for essential work purposes (eg vehicle testing, mechanics, tyre services)" is also considered an essential business. As services will be understandably restricted, please email us first, with as much notice as you can.

Closed days 2018/2019

Thanks everyone for a superb 2018. We’re off early on 31st Dec 2018 so please be sure to get our assistance with anything scooter-related before 1pm! Otherwise enjoy a break and we’ll see you again for normal trading on 3rd Jan 2019.

Online shop glitch! Ignore duplicate emails

On 3rd July we started getting calls from customers concerned that we were resending old orders.
A cron job on the server has starting releasing some very old queued order emails - so if you have ordered from us previously, but have only recently (i.e. today) received incorrect order emails from us, just ignore them. It's just a duplicate email. Sorry!

Niu electric scooters booming

The fully electric smart scooter designed by a Kiwi is making waves in the NZ market - now selling one-for-one with the petrol scooters here at Scootling! Our next shipment is due to arrive in April: numbers are limited though, and demand for these next-generation city machines is high.

Niu scooters are the smartest two wheelers out there. Designed by a kiwi Joseph Nelson, and now taking the world by storm. Here are some numbers: quarter of a million of them produced in two years. Half a billion kilometres covered by their riders in two years.

We're so very proud to announce that Scootling will be the first dealer for these beautifully designed, smartphone-connected, GPS enabled scooters in NZ. Plug and play!
