DEFECTS

Each manufacturer has their own warranty policy. Scootling will assist customers with their warranty handling. We use the Consumer Guarantees Act as a basis and some manufacturer warranties will exceed what you might otherwise be entitled to under the Act.

WARRANTY RETURNS

Most manufacturers offer a no-questions-asked warranty period of fixed term which covers against manufacturing defects. To determine warranty coverage for a specific item, please contact the manufacturer or contact us for assistance.

Please note warranty processing may take up to 4-8 weeks for complex cases or where the overseas manufacturer needs to see it physically, and acceptance will be subject to the individual manufacturer's policies and discretion. Manufacturer warranties do not cover defects determined to be caused by normal wear or due to misuse or negligence.

DAMAGED OR LOST ITEMS

Please let us know as soon as practical if any items on your order arrive damaged (within 48 hours of receipt). Please keep all original shipping containers and packaging and take pictures if possible. Damaged item claims are handled through the shipping carrier. We will assist you in these claims. We only ask that you are be patient as this process can take longer for claims where damage needs to be inspected by both the supplier and the shipping carrier. The shipping carriers also have stand-down periods for claims of lost shipments, so that will add to the total time.
